What is getting grounded? It’s feeling a sense of peace and calm — it’s feeling that everything is ok or going to be ok — it's feeling comfortable in our own skin and in our surroundings.
To get grounded, we sometimes just need someone to talk to, to help us find methods to calm our thoughts and feel inspired.
Introduction into my new therapy sessions: Getting Grounded

Some signs you are not grounded:
• Your mind races and you cannot seem to get control of your thoughts
• You can’t stop talking or be alone with yourself
• You can’t focus
• You feel a sense of constant dread
• You feel that things around you are off or not right
• You cannot relax
• You feel uncomfortable in your own skin
• Nothing is bringing you joy
• You focus primarily on what’s next, rather than being present
Things that can lead us to feel UN-Grounded:
• Being hyper-focused on politics, the news or pop culture drama.
• Arguing on social media about push button topics.
• Not paying attention to what you eat and drink
• Feeling unappreciated by those around you
• Lack of sleep and relaxation
•Not creating boundaries around what causes you stress
When you are grounded, you:
• Feel a sense of peace and calm
• Feel that everything is ok or going to be ok
• Feel comfortable in your own skin.
• Choose to live from a place of love and acceptance rather than fear
• Feel optimistic
• Feel confident
• Feel creative and being inspired
• Feel connected to your surroundings
• Feel like you are in the flow, that things come easier to you
• Feel passionate, romantic and sexy
• Know in your heart that things will work out — that at the end of the day, you will be fine
• Know that nothing ultimately has the power to control your emotions
Process:
Listening — Sometimes we just need to have someone hear what have to say. It is proven that when we discuss what's on our mind with others that we gain insight into our situation just by expressing it in words.
Sharing — No one should tell you how or what to do, that is why I offer to share ideas and present proven methods to help you get grounded. Once you are feeling grounded, you will discover the best path forward for yourself. We get clarity when we are grounded but when we are not grounded we stay in a state of confusion. With that said, if you ask me to share my opinion or give advice, I am more than happy to provide it.
Feedback — If you desire, we can have continual grounding sessions to keep you feeling grounded and focused. The goal is to get you accustomed to creating a grounding practice in your own life!
Sessions can be done over the PHONE, through ZOOM, by Email or through CHAT (I use Messages on Mac). Whatever you are comfortable with!

Many of the methods for getting grounded present a way to get back to being a human and letting the “stuff” of the modern world subside for a bit.

Legit meditation is the practice of learning to manage your thoughts — this is where the real benefits of meditation are found. Yes, listening to a guided meditation can be relaxing but it is not the same as doing it yourself! Legit Meditation teaches us to become masters of our minds — improving our mental and physical health!

I teach a form of meditation that will help you to calm your mind and lead you into a peaceful state of awareness. Just like Transcendental Meditation, I will teach you how to use a mantra. The mantra is a non-sensical word that you will state when thoughts come into your mind; the goal being to train your mind to ignore unwanted thoughts. With practice and time, you will be able to go into a state of meditation that is blissful and beneficial to your mind, body and soul!
I teach meditation through Zoom or over the phone, it's whatever you are comfortable with. I could teach you through CHAT but you would need to be very descriptive with how you are feeling during the lessons.
I am non-judgmental, easy going and have a natural knack for making people feel comfortable.
I am open-minded and accepting, thus I will never judge you for what you do, what you believe or what you do not believe. No matter what we believe or do, we all can become ungrounded and not be sure how to help get ourselves back to feeling grounded — we all can benefit from talking with someone who cares and wants to truly to feel our best!
The grounding methods I choose to present to you will fit into your beliefs and comfort level, I will not present you with a method for getting grounded that does not make sense to you.
